Some of what you will do:
This position is an integral part of the team supporting the finance functions for the new Bell partnership across 300+ retail stores in Canada. The role primarily focuses on reconciliations, issue identification, investigation and resolution, and reporting.
Specifically, You Will:
- Reconcile internal financial data to third party reporting and associate compensation reporting
- Prepare month end journal entries
- Identify, investigate and resolve reconciliation issues
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPI) such as average commission and volume bonus
- Assist with preparation of monthly and ad hoc KPI reporting for Business Operations
- Assist with preparation of monthly program EBITDA reporting
- Collaborate with IT and Business Operations teams to assist with systems and process improvements
- Keep team apprised of unexpected or uncontrollable circumstances that may impact timelines
- Identify, recommend and execute process improvements for program activities and reconciliations
- Assist with systems user acceptance testing
- Provide supplementary and ad-hoc reporting / analysis as required
- Other tasks as assigned
Some of what you need:
- CPA or actively working towards an accounting designation is considered an asset
- University degree or equivalent in accounting, business, finance or a related field
- 1-2 years of relevant finance experience
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience working on reconciliations
- Telecommunications experience is considered an asset
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Resourceful, analytical and good problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with different stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
