Job Overview
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions, including data entry, account reconciliation, and managing financial records using a variety of accounting software. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in financial services and gain experience with leading accounting platforms. The Accounting Clerk will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial data and ensuring smooth operational workflows within our organization.
Responsibilities
-Receive, verify, and file supplier packing slips and receiving slips from various branches;
-Compare invoices with receiving slips and ensure reconciliation;
- Receive, verify, and file claims from various branches;
-Follow up on supplier claims (until credits are received);
-Communicate regularly with the receiving department to follow up on invoices, credit notes, and/or receiving slips
-Monthly, ;ensure that all invoices and credit notes recorded on the head office statements have been received and filed appropriately;
- Assist in preparing and sending monthly checks;
-Assist in the monthly verification and reconciliation of supplier statements;
-Assist in coding and entering invoices and credit notes into the accounting system;
-Scan and archive customer invoices and credit notes;
-Assist colleagues during vacation periods;
-File documents;
-Other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Training in accounting (DEP, AEP, DEC) or in administration or another related field, or relevant experience, is considered an asset;
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Aptitude for filing and reconciling paper documents;
- Logical understanding of how an inventory system works, enabling the understanding of the flow of an item—initial quantity, invoicing, receipt, adjustments, and final quantity;
-Must possess a very high level of attention to detail, excellent concentration skills, resourcefulness, and be organized and methodical;
-Fluency in French;
-Computer skills (Windows environment and Microsoft Office suite);
-Knowledge of Vision and Eagle software is an asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
