Position Summary

The Payroll Administrator will work closely with the Office Manager and is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for all employees. This role supports IPH fast-paced plumbing and heating work environment, requiring strong attention to detail, knowledge of construction payroll requirements, and the ability to manage multiple pay structures and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly or bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including hourly, salary, overtime, and on-call hours.
  • Verify timesheets, job codes, premiums, and approved overtime from departmental supervisors.
  • Set up new employees in the payroll system, ensuring accuracy of tax forms, banking details, and employment information.
  • Maintain and process ROEs, vacation payouts.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential payroll files and payroll records.
  • Support month-end and year-end processes.
  • Other duties not specified in this job description may be assigned.

Skill & Qualifications

  • Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Payroll, or Business Administration preferred.
  • 2+ years of payroll experience; construction or trades industry experience is an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, and payroll systems is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with both field and office employees.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
