Fonctions

  • Assurer la confidentialité des renseignements personnels sensibles des patients, conformément à la réglementation en vigueur dans le secteur de la santé.
  • Soutenir la mise en œuvre de stratégies de communication adaptées au client.
  • Animer des groupes de communication et de socialisation.
  • Créer du matériel pour les séances et des documents d'information pour les parents/tuteurs.
  • Collaborer avec une équipe de soins multidisciplinaire.
  • Documentation et tenue de dossiers relatifs aux activités de communication.

Qualifications

  • Excellentes aptitudes à la communication écrite et orale, et souci du détail.
  • Capacité à traiter les renseignements personnels sensibles avec discrétion et professionnalisme.
  • Expérience auprès de personnes neurodivergentes, un atout.
  • Capacité à travailler en collaboration au sein de l 'équipe multidisciplinaire.
  • Attitude proactive, sens de l'organisation et capacité à prioriser efficacement les tâches.
  • Maîtrise du français requise et capacité à offrir des services d'orthophonie en français. Bilinguisme (anglais/français) souhaitable.
  • Education d'assistant(e) en troubles de la communication ou un(e) assistant(e) orthophoniste
  • Vérification de casier judiciaire pour le secteur vulnérable valide.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated French speaking Communicative Disorders Assistant or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to support our healthcare team in delivering clear and effective communication within a clinic environment. This role involves coordinating communication efforts, assisting with patient and staff interactions, and ensuring accurate dissemination of information across departments.

Duties

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Support the implementation of communication strategies tailored to the client
  • Facilitating communication and social communication based groups
  • Creating materials for sessions and parent/guardian information
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team
  • Documentation and record-keeping related to communication activities

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Experience with neurodiverse populations an asset
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • A proactive attitude with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Must be fluent in French and able to provide speech services in French, bilingual (English/French) preferred
  • Completion of a Communicative Disorders Assistant Graduate Certificate program from an accredited institution or equivalent an asset
  • A valid Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $25.00-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
