An international machinery manufacturer that supplies their machines to the Automotive / Automotive Parts manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Engineer. The ideal candidate is someone who has a minimum of 5 years engineering experience in the machinery or tooling manufacturer industry. Please note that you will need minimum of 3 years Electrical Design Engineer position in Canada. Also, we are looking for someone who can program PLC/HMI for Mitsubishi and Omron.

Responsibilities for Junior Level Electrical Engineer:

  • Develop and design that meet customer specifications as well as generate designs for internal needs
  • Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, and Program Management to develop, manufacture, and design the products with an emphasis not only on performance, but also manufacturability and testability
  • Originate and refine existing designs including detailed design, tolerance studies, and selection of electronic components
  • Prepare engineering specs, parts lists, time estimate, and test and fabrication schedules
  • Write engineering reports and assists in the preparation of technical proposals
  • Participate in and conducts specification reviews, design reviews, pre-production builds, debug, and product testing
  • Plan and determines test procedures
  • Conduct laboratory or field test experiments and investigations, as well as correlate and interpret observations and results

Qualification for Junior Level Electrical Engineer:

  • BS Degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline is required
  • 5+ years of experience in working at manufacturing environment
  • Strong hands-on experience in practical design and prototyping of new product
  • R&D as well as manufacturing test development and automation
  • Excellent communication skills (Speaking, Reading, Writing)
  • While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to type for extended periods throughout the day and intermittently sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk, and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision, as well as, lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
