Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring competitive pricing. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency with industry-standard estimating software. The Construction Estimator will play a vital role in project planning and bidding, contributing to the successful execution of our projects.

Duties

  • Prepare detailed construction cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Utilize estimating software to develop accurate pricing models.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate terms.
  • Review project plans and specifications to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive databases of labor, material, and equipment costs.
  • Assist in bid preparation and submission, ensuring all estimates are complete and competitive.
  • Monitor industry trends to stay updated on new materials, technologies, and pricing strategies.
  • Support project management teams throughout the construction process by providing ongoing cost analysis.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial or heavy civil projects.
  • Strong proficiency with other estimating or project management software.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms while maintaining professional relationships.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams including clients, subcontractors, and internal staff.
