Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting disciplines, including residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial painting. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of projects. The Painter will work closely with project managers and clients to deliver exceptional results while adhering to safety standards and project timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
  • Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and power tools
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project specifications
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for surface preparation and finishing tasks
  • Perform rigging as needed for elevated or hard-to-reach areas
  • Execute restoration projects by matching existing finishes and ensuring seamless repairs
  • Maintain a clean work environment and safely handle hazardous materials in compliance with safety protocols
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met on time
  • Assist with carpentry tasks or minor repairs as needed to support overall project completion

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for accurate project execution
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, caulking techniques, and rigging procedures
  • Strong understanding of safety standards related to working at heights and handling chemicals
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments including restoration sites or construction projects
  • Prior experience with carpentry or general construction is a plus but not required
