Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and experience working with children. This role involves providing personalized instruction in various subjects, with a focus on Math, Reading/Writing needs. The Tutor will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning environment and helping students build confidence and skills for academic success.

Duties

  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs. Material is provided.
  • Assist students with understanding complex concepts in Math or Language (Reading and Writing)
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Support students by implementing appropriate teaching methods
  • Maintain a positive, encouraging attitude to motivate students and promote engagement

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in educational or tutoring settings
  • Strong knowledge of math (JK - Grade 8)
  • Prior classroom experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and needs
  • Passion for education and helping students succeed
  • Reliable, patient, and organized with a genuine enthusiasm for teaching

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
