Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of young adults, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring students to achieve their academic goals. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students effectively in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Educate students on various subjects, ensuring they grasp key concepts and skills.
  • Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Assess student performance through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to promote growth.
  • Offer tutoring sessions to students needing additional support outside of regular class hours.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies, promoting respect and responsibility among students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area; teaching certification preferred.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Must be able to teach Math (Grades 9-12), Chemistry, Grade 12 Physics (an asset)
  • Strong ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to students of varying abilities.
  • Proven experience in classroom management and creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community to support student achievement.
