Job Description

We're seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager to join our established and thriving client in Dartmouth, NS. This permanent position requires proven organizational skills, agility in dynamic environments, effective teamwork capabilities, and excellent communication and leadership conducted in a positive and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities for the Job: 

  • Complete full cycle accounting processes
  • Financial reporting
  • Cash reconciliations 
  • Bank reconciliations and deposits 
  • Budgeting and forecasting 
  • Payroll processing
  • Evaluate, analyze, and recommend process improvements
  • Month-end and year-end processes
  • Support HR initiatives and play an active role in hiring and training of staff

Skills & Attributes for Success: 

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, business or finance
  • 5+ years' relevant full cycle accounting experience
  • CPA designation would be considered an asset, but is not required
  • Up to date knowledge of accounting systems, software, and government regulations
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Professional, concise, and adaptable communication skills
  • Open minded and flexible approach with a hands-on approach
