Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Sales Manager located in Greater Toronto Area(GTA), ON, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and growing sales accounts, developing and executing sales strategies, and achieving sales targets. Daily tasks include conducting market research, identifying new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with the marketing team to develop promotional activities. The role also involves preparing sales reports and forecasts to track progress and ensure alignment with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand our market presence across North America, focusing on building relationships with large retail stores, brand chain stores, and trading companies.
  • Understand and analyze consumer preferences and purchasing behaviors within the children's footwear market.
  • Identify and open new sales channels and business opportunities.
  • Lead, recruit, and train new sales associates to strengthen the sales team.
  • Represent the company professionally at trade shows, client meetings, and industry events.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure offerings align with market needs.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years of sales experience
  • Experience in Footwear industry or category is a MUST. Have deep understanding of North American footwear market
  • Demonstrated experience working with North American trading companies, distributor, large retail stores, with a specialization in kids' footwear
  • Previous experience as a retail buyer is preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability in market development, team management, and the recruitment and training of sales staff
  • Professional proficiency in English is required
  • Fluency in Chinese and French is a strong asset.
  • Willingness and availability to travel for business, including attending trade shows and client meetings.
