What You Will Be Doing
- Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties to ensure the workshop remains clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials and equipment.
- Retrieve parts from the warehouse and manage workshop inventory as needed.
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries from suppliers and customers.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments, ensuring proper handling.
- Support electricians with various workshop tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Environmental Health and Safety
- Comply with safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.
- Responsible for identifying and reporting any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents and / or near misses. Perform risk assessments ("Take Five") prior to each task.
- Maintain orderly work area and ensure housekeeping requirements are met.
- Attend Environmental, Health and Safety related trainings.
- Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) assigned for each task.
What You Will Bring Along
- Completion of Secondary School (High school).
- Strong initiative and eagerness to contribute actively to team goals.
- Ability to work as part of an integrated, broad team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, Outlook).
- Previous experience in a workshop or industrial setting is an asset.
- Forklift certification and experience with shipping/receiving is considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license required.
