Position Overview:

The Safety & Compliance Administrator will be responsible for supporting the company's safety and compliance programs, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate documentation. This role also includes monitoring fuel usage and performing fuel calculations to optimize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update safety and compliance records in accordance with DOT, MTO, and company standards.
  • Assist in driver onboarding and ensure all safety certifications and documentation are complete.
  • Monitor Hours of Service (HOS), driver logs, and vehicle inspection reports for compliance.
  • Coordinate and schedule safety training sessions for drivers and staff.
  • Prepare reports on compliance audits, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • Manage random drug and alcohol testing programs as per regulations.
  • Track and monitor fuel consumption across the fleet; perform fuel calculations and prepare monthly reports.
  • Support internal audits and respond to regulatory inquiries.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Safety and Compliance within the transportation industry.
  • Knowledge of DOT, MTO, and FMCSA regulations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and safety management systems.
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare accurate reports.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with fuel monitoring systems and calculations.
  • Familiarity with fleet management software.
