Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires strong skills in construction estimating, pricing, and project management, with proficiency in industry-standard software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid. The Project Estimator will play a critical role in securing new projects and maintaining competitive bidding processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documentation.
  • Utilize Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating software to prepare detailed cost proposals.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate terms.
  • Conduct market research to determine current material and labor costs to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Review project scope and specifications to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare bid packages, proposals, and presentations for review by senior management.
  • Assist in the development of project schedules and resource planning based on estimates.
  • Maintain organized records of all estimating activities for future reference and audits.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction processes and terminology.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for markup and document management.
  • Experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of project management principles within the construction industry is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure precise cost estimation and risk assessment. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
