Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Folder/Gluer Machine Operator to join our production team. This role offers full-time hours on the afternoon or night shift within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and load the appropriate materials required for production.
  • Set up and operate the folder/gluer machine in accordance with customer specifications and standard operating procedures.
  • Complete make-ready tasks for feeder, prefold, glue system, final fold, delivery, stacker, and packing areas.
  • Monitor machine performance to ensure efficient production and consistent product quality.
  • Adjust machine settings to correct malfunctions and maintain optimum speed and output.
  • Ensure orders are completed within timelines and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain line integrity and prevent product mix-ups by following established protocols.
  • Identify, document, and manage non-conforming products and overages as required.
  • Record production data, including time, materials used, and output.
  • Move raw materials and finished goods using industrial or hand trucks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the machine and work area.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs.
  • Provide direction and support to crew members working on the machine.
  • Train co-workers on machine operation and best practices when necessary.
  • Participate in new product development discussions using machine operation expertise.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and environmental guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating folder/gluer machines (Bobst or Brausse preferred) or willingness to learn.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong math and time management abilities.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and proactive work ethic.
  • Must own safety shoes.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, and squat for the duration of the shift.
  • Good vision (with corrective lenses if needed) and strong attention to detail.
  • Good hand-eye coordination, able to perform repetitive tasks.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
