What is the Opportunity?Reporting to the Manager, Academic Office, the Coordinator, College of Examiners provides administrative support for the RCM College of Examiners and the Academic Office.
Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesExaminer Professional Development
- Coordinates ongoing remote training and professional development activities for examiners.
- Tracks examiner participation in professional development activities and ensures that all membership requirements are up to date.
- Coordinates process for examiners re-entering the College after an absence.
Updates and maintains examiner resources and training materials as needed.
Quality Assurance
- Organizes regular quality-assurance initiatives for both practical and theory examiners, in collaboration with the lead specialists, as directed by the Manager, Academic Office.
- Prepares and circulates quality-assurance assignments to examiners.
- Collects and reports results and examiner feedback to the Manager, Academic Office.
Ensures that approved evaluation reports are provided to examiners in a timely manner.
Adjudicator Certification Program
- Prepares the onboarding of successful ACP participants to the College of Examiners in coordination with other members of the RCM Certificate Program team.
Provides administrative support for the Adjudicator Certification Program as required.
General Support
- Responds to ongoing communications with examiners in collaboration with other members of the Academic Office team under the guidance of the Manager, Academic Office.
- Coordinates the paired scheduling of remote ARCT, Pedagogy, and Licentiate examinations, consulting with the appropriate team members.
- Tracks examiner engagement on a cyclical basis.
Monitors and processes practical examination academic exceptions. Consults with team members as needed to escalate complicated situations.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assists in the resolution of candidate services tickets, customer inquiries, and inter-departmental queries as needed.
- Performs other duties as required.
Job Requirements:
What We're Looking For- University degree in music with a minimum 2 years of progressive related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Background in arts administration is an asset.
- Familiarity with The RCM Certificate Program.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency for creating presentations, including a working knowledge of PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong service-oriented experience in a customer-facing role is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), SharePoint, and Teams.
- $45,000 - $50,000 per annum.
- This role is a current vacancy.
- Hybrid work arrangement includes being on-site at least 2 days a week at the RCM building, or as required for operational needs.
- Standard office environment and hours.
