Westerner Park is seeking Casual General Service Employees to join our team. This flexible role is ideal for those looking for adaptable hours in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What You'll Do
As a General Service Employee, you'll play a key role in bringing events to life by:

  • Setting up and dismantling events both indoors and outdoors

  • Collaborating with supervisors and event services to maintain high standards

  • Ensuring event spaces remain clean before, during, and after events

  • Performing janitorial duties (e.g., scrubbing floors, cleaning restrooms)

  • Working cooperatively with staff, suppliers, and volunteers

  • Opening and closing facilities as needed

  • Meeting event-specific setup requirements and assisting with light maintenance

  • Operating machinery and equipment as required

  • Reporting and helping resolve maintenance issues

  • Maintaining sidewalks, parking lots, and event grounds

Qualifications

  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends

  • 1–2 years of related experience in janitorial work, event setup, general labor, or equipment operation (preferred)

  • Janitorial experience and a Class 5 driver's license are considered assets

  • Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Office)

  • Comfortable with physical, hands-on work both indoors and outdoors

  • Ability to safely operate relevant tools and equipment

Compensation

  • Rate of pay: $18.85 – $21.02 per hour

  • This is a casual, event-based position. Employees are scheduled on an as-needed basis and hours are not guaranteed.
