We are seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer who will
own, design, and build our entire QA function from the ground up
. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves building systems and frameworks, and wants to shape the quality culture of a scaling engineering organization.
What You'll Do
As the Lead QA Engineer, you will be both a
builder and an operator
, responsible for establishing testing standards, designing end-to-end QA processes, and conducting hands-on testing across complex, high-traffic gaming systems.
Foundational Ownership
- Architect, implement, and scale the company's entire QA strategy, processes, and tooling from scratch.
- Establish quality standards, testing best practices, and documentation for the engineering organization.
- Select automation frameworks, testing tools, and performance testing platforms appropriate for a high-growth environment.
Hands-On QA Execution
- Manage the entire test case lifecycle: creation, maintenance, execution, and optimization based on technical and functional requirements.
- Perform deep manual regression testing to validate new and existing features.
- Develop and maintain automated end-to-end test suites across web, backend, and distributed systems.
- Design and execute performance and load tests to validate stability under high-traffic conditions.
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, Cypress, or similar.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate closely with engineering teams on resolutions.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work directly with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and ensure quality gates are consistently met.
- Mentor future QA hires and help scale the QA team as the organization grows.
- Proactively identify quality risks and build processes that improve reliability, efficiency, and developer velocity.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of software QA experience, with at least 1–2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Proven experience
building or significantly shaping QA processes
in a high-growth environment.
- Strong mastery of manual QA methodologies, test planning, regression testing, and defect management.
- Proficiency with automation frameworks such as
Selenium, Cypress, Playwright
, or similar.
- Experience implementing load and performance testing using tools like
k6, Artillery, or
.
- Familiarity with API testing via Postman, Cypress, or equivalent tools.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into deployment workflows.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A hands-on builder mentality—the ability to design, execute, and iterate rapidly.
Bonus Points
- Experience testing

- Experience with security and performance testing.
- Background in Agile, DevOps, or continuous delivery environments.
