Expertec is a leading turnkey provider of van and truck outfitting with (4) locations in North America, headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta. We design and install custom equipment and accessories for industrial and commercial service vehicles including aluminum slide-in service bodies, Spacekaps, van shelving, flat decks, mobile lube skids, top quality truck caps and canopies.

We are adding an Assembly Technician to our team in Edmonton, AB

Core Purpose

The purpose of this position is to manage the product assembly and assist installers to maximize production and efficiency. This list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and additional duties or responsibilities may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble van and truck equipment.
  • Monitor Smartsheet schedule and assemble products in correct order.
  • Communicate with Shipping/Receiving on next items to assemble.
  • Assist installers in lifting and mounting items.
  • Keep shop area clean and tidy.
  • Empty garbage's and cardboard into appropriate bins.
  • Provide support to the shipping & receiving department when required.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations.
  • Assure efficient use of personnel, materials, facilities and time.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements & Skills

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude is required
  • Driver's License is required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • Basic hand tool: 1 year (required)
  • Assembly: 2 years (preferred)
  • Mechanical: 2 years (preferred)
  • Upfitting Industry: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driver's Licence (required)
  • Forklift Licence (preferred)
