JUNIOR BOOKKEEPER

JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Junior Bookkeeper, you will assist the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations, including data entry, maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
  • Assist with preparing invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits.
  • Support payroll processing and expense reporting as needed.
  • Help prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and trial balances.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and relevant regulations.
  • Assist accounting team with month-end and year-end closing tasks.
  • Perform other administrative and financial tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
  • 0–2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Acumatica is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
