Lead Junior Preschool EducatorCertification Level 2/3 RequiredShift: 8:00 - 5:00pm (1 hour unpaid break)Richmond daycare is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team.Skills and qualifications you have:Experience working with children aged 19 months - 6 years old.Enthusiastic, engaging and a passion for working with children.A flexible and positive attitude that is adaptable to change, stress, and daily challengesAbility to take the initiative and get things completed in a timely mannerMust be reliable and responsibleKnowledgeable with Early Learning and Child Care Regulation and ActEarly Childhood Educator Certificate (Level 2) OR Diploma/Degree (Level 3) (REQUIRED)Current First Aid Certificate – level B (Preferred or willing to obtain)Calgary Police background check with vulnerable sector search completed within the last 6 months (Required or willing to obtain)Job description· Observations, planning and implementing programming· Setting up classroom activities and materials, based on planning and observations· Work cooperatively as a member of the childcare team, facilitating a team environment through personal behaviour, work contributions, and the sharing of expertise and knowledge· Provide effective supervision, support classroom routines, and maintain behavioural expectations with children· Assist children with self-help skills, including feeding, toileting, and diapering.· Cultivating relationships with children, parents, and guardians.· Serving meals and snacks.· Ensure classroom or play environment is kept sanitary and implement a cleaning scheduleWe thank all applicants for their interest.
