Educational Assistant (Full-Time) – NW Calgary

Bragg Creek Education Services Association (BCESA) is seeking a caring, reliable, and team-oriented Educational Assistant (EA) to support children with diverse learning needs in a daycare setting, starting immediately.

Position Details:

  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am-2:30pm
  • Status: Full-time (30 hours per week)
  • Location: NW Calgary – 2045 Symons Valley Parkway NW, Calgary
  • Wage: Starting at $22/hour
  • Training & PD: Training and monthly Professional Development Days are held in Redwood Meadows, AB (outside Calgary). EAs are responsible for arranging their own transportation.

Educational Assistants with BCESA help implement specialized services for children with a variety of learning needs. The successful candidate will be able to build positive relationships with children while maintaining effective working relationships with daycare staff, therapists, and other community partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist children as directed by the teacher in both group and one-to-one settings
  • Encourage the development of positive self-esteem and independence in children
  • Implement educational programming in consultation with the teacher
  • Monitor and document children's progress and participation
  • Reinforce instructional strategies as directed by the teacher and outlined in Individualized Program Plans (IPPs)
  • Support inclusive, play-based learning for children with diverse needs

Education & Experience

  • Level 1 Early Childhood Educator certification (required)
  • One or more years of relevant experience and/or related post-secondary education
  • CPR/First Aid training considered an asset
  • Experience working in a school, preschool, or daycare environment
