About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Chef/Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering high-quality dishes with consistency. This role involves preparing menu items to standard, ensuring food safety, maintaining a clean workspace, and contributing to an efficient kitchen operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Ensure freshness and quality of all ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment at all times.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all food safety and health & safety protocols (HACCP guidelines, temperature logs, etc.).
  • Assist with inventory, receiving deliveries, and proper food storage.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to support smooth operations.
  • Adapt to daily prep requirements and complete food prep in a timely manner.
  • Support the team during busy periods and contribute positively to kitchen culture.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as a Cook or Chef (line cook, prep cook, or similar role).
  • Strong understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen hygiene.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistency.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30–50 lbs as required.
  • Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain) is an asset.
