Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector
The Quality Inspector plays a vital role in ensuring that all incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products meet established quality standards. This position supports product integrity, shopfloor quality, and contributes to overall customer satisfaction
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming parts and finished goods for defects or deviations from specifications.
- Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards.
- Accurately document inspection results, including measurements, defects, and corrective actions.
- Monitor production processes to verify adherence to quality protocols.
- Recommend and support corrective actions to improve product quality and reduce non-conformance.
- Apply problem-solving skills and generate daily quality reports to communicate issues.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality concerns and implement improvements.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized inspection environment.
- Participate in internal audits and support external audit preparation.
- Assist in training new team members on inspection procedures and quality standards.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.
- Maintain calibration records and ensure inspection equipment is properly maintained.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Quality.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a technical field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using inspection equipment.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, especially in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
