We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to own our day-to-day accounting and reporting functions. This role oversees the full accounting cycle across payables, receivables, payroll coordination, and month-end close, and partners closely with internal teams and external advisors. It's a high-impact position with clear growth potential into a Controller-level role for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys improving processes and building strong financial systems.

This is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work from home part of the week. Regular in-person presence, is required at our Delta, BC manufacturing facility.

Summary of Role & Responsibilities - Senior Accountant:- Lead full-cycle month-end close including reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, and journal entries
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting packages
- Maintain general ledger integrity
- Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management
- Ensure accurate job costing and WIP reporting
- Collaborate with project managers to track project margins and progress billings
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
- Coordinate semi-monthly payroll and benefits administration
- Prepare and remit GST/HST and other statutory filings
- Support year-end working paper preparation and liaise with external accountants
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors and tax professionals.
- Document and refine accounting workflows and internal controls
- Partner with CFO to strengthen financial reporting practices
- Grant report preparation and submission
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA designation or candidacy is an asset
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or construction industry.
- Prior experience with Epicor, or another mid-market MRP system, an asset but not required
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Excel, and cloud-based accounting tools
- High attention to detail, proactive communication, and strong analytical and organizational skills
- When on the production floor or construction site, wear appropriate protective equipment, such as a hard hat, hearing protection, safety work boots, and safety glasses. Must provide your own CSA approved 6" safety footwear.
- Ability to provide proof of the right to work for the Company in Canada.
- Successful candidates may be required to submit to a background check
The final offer for this role will be based on several factors, including the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and demonstrated proficiency, as well as relevant market data and current market conditions. These factors will be objectively evaluated during the interview process. This range is provided for transparency and may be updated as business or market conditions evolve. Benefits begin after 3 months of employment.
