Are you looking for something meaningful to do twice a week in the evening? Do you enjoy the outdoors as well as working with newcomer children and youth?

Care for Newcomers just happens to have an exciting opportunity for you

We're looking for a resourceful, fun and responsible individual to join our Youth Settlement team to:

  • Develop and implement structured skating lessons for children and youth (ages 4-18 years old).
  • Teach basic skating techniques, including gliding, swizzles, skills building and instruction, balance, and coordination.
  • Monitor progress and provide individualized feedback to skaters and parents.
  • Organize and oversee the practices and games

A little about what you bring to Care for Newcomers:

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a skating coach, preferably with children and youth
  • National Coaching certification program (NCCP) or equivalent certification
  • Ability to lead and motivate children and youth
  • First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
