**Overview**

Depending on the season, trips include transport of school, sport and community clubs, corporations, shuttles to airport, sporting events, weddings and worksites throughout Alberta and sometimes BC.

This position offers approximately 10 - 20 hours a week since hours are not guaranteed. Based on the bookings per week. Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and occasionally overnights.

**Duties**
- Safely operate motor coaches on designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Complete all applicable paperwork such as log sheets, dispatch sheets, DVIRS, accidents/incidents
- Ensure compliance with hours of service.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts.
- Communicate effectively with passengers regarding schedules, routes, and any changes that may occur during travel.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, as well as addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the motor coach interior and exterior and that the bus is refueled.
- Collaborate with head office and other team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues that arise during operations.
- Assist with loading and unloading passenger baggage.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Must be well rested and alert when reporting for duty.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Able to sit for long periods of time, operating a vehicle with attention to safety.
- Able to see and hear clearly both during the day and at night.
- Able to lift and carry baggage weighing up to 50 lbs.

**Skills**
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Valid Class 1 or 2 commercial driving license (CDL) with air brake and a clean driving record.
- Ability to maintain a high level of customer service while interacting with passengers.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify minor vehicle issues and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely arrivals at destinations.
- A commitment to safety protocols and practices in all driving situations.
- Knowledge of motor coach operations, safety, Motive Fleet, ADA, DMV and DOT requirements
- Ability to solve problems under stressful conditions like weather and traffic in a calm demeanor
- Prior experience as tour or school bus driver is an asset
- Experience driving in the snow.
