Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mandarin and/or Cantonese speaking Receptionist. This candidate must also be fluent in English.

We are looking for dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced dental office environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. This role requires proficiency in managing electronic medical records and familiarity with dental terminology, as well as a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere for patients.

Duties

  • Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records using software such as Dentrix or Epic.
  • Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
  • Coordinate communication between patients and dental staff to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Answer phone calls using multi-line phone systems, directing calls as necessary.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.

Skills

  • Proficiency in electronic medical records management is essential.
  • Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental software, Open Dental, is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a busy front desk environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records.
  • Experience operating phone systems and handling patient communications professionally.
