North Ridge Development Corporation, Saskatchewan's leading home builder, is seeking a full-time Architectural Technologist to join our Saskatoon team. Must be a resident of Saskatchewan and be legally able to work in Canada.

The Architectural Technologist will support our Design Department with design concepts and drafting for a variety of residential construction projects. Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of residential construction, and will be driven, self-starters, and highly organized. The following is a description of the primary responsibilities and required qualifications.

Responsibilities:

· Work under the Design Manager with the Design Team.

· Technical Drafting from preliminary to working drawings of residential projects including single family housing, townhouses and apartments. Commercial projects as required.

· Completing conceptual renderings.

· Ensure projects are finished accurately and in a timely manner.

· Daily communication with members of estimating and construction departments.

· Assist in interior design selections.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Architectural Technology Diploma/Certification required

· Minimum 3 years' experience in local residential construction industry

· Thorough understanding of local residential design and construction

· Experience and understanding of floor plans, construction details and specifications

· Understanding of interior design principles and material selection

· Working knowledge of current building codes and local municipal bylaws & regulations

· Highly proficient in Revit and AutoCAD (Sketchup and Twinmotion, bonus, but not required)

· Creative and ability to problem solve

· Strong computer and technology skills

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Strong organization and multi-tasking skills

· Detail-oriented focus

· Must be a resident of Saskatchewan and be legally able to work in Canada.
