PIM & Data Systems Manager – AutoShack (Onsite, Kanata, ON)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Industry: Automotive / E-Commerce / Retail

About AutoShack

AutoShack is a trusted Canadian e-commerce auto parts retailer with over 45 years of success. Our product data and catalog systems are at the core of our growth strategy, driving efficiency across operations, marketplaces, and customer experience.

As we scale, we are seeking an experienced PIM & Data Systems Manager to strengthen and lead our catalog and product data operations. This role will work onsite in our Kanata headquarters, collaborating closely with product, IT, marketing, and operations teams to ensure data integrity and system excellence.

Position Overview

The PIM & Data Systems Manager is a hands-on leadership role responsible for implementing, optimizing, and managing AutoShack's PIM (Product Information Management) platform and catalog data systems.

This role will lead cross-functional data initiatives, define and enforce governance standards, oversee integrations, and mentor catalog/data staff. You will be expected to bring deep technical PIM knowledge, operational leadership, and a strong problem-solving mindset to a fast-paced environment.

This position complements our existing Data Marketplace Manager role, with a clear focus on PIM strategy, implementation, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation and optimization of the PIM platform
  • Define and manage product data models, taxonomy, and governance frameworks
  • Configure and improve workflows, validations, transformations, and exception handling
  • Manage data integrations with marketplaces and internal systems (APIs, ETL, middleware)
  • Establish and monitor data quality KPIs, dashboards, and remediation processes
  • Oversee data migrations, testing, cutovers, and go-live processes
  • Mentor and manage catalog/data specialists; build efficient, scalable processes
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align data accuracy with business goals
  • Identify system gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

(Applicants who do not meet all mandatory qualifications will not be considered)

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in PIM, catalog, master data, or product data roles
  • Proven track record in PIM / MDM system implementation or customization
  • Strong background in data modeling, taxonomy design, and product variant logic
  • Proficiency with APIs, ETL, and data transformation workflows
  • Experience leading or mentoring team members
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Data, Computer Science, Business, or a related field

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with ACES/PIES automotive fitment data standards
  • Experience integrating with e-commerce marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Walmart) and/or feed tools (e.g., ChannelAdvisor, Feedonomics)
  • SEO-driven product content optimization
  • Experience in high-SKU, multi-marketplace retail or e-commerce environments

Important

  • This is a fully onsite position in Kanata, Ontario (no hybrid or remote option).
  • This is not a purely strategic role; hands-on technical expertise is required.
  • Applicants without proven PIM experience will not be contacted.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Opportunity to lead critical data infrastructure for a growing e-commerce company
  • Collaborative, high-impact work environment

Only candidates meeting all required qualifications will be contacted for interviews.
