The Position

The Training Specialist is an essential member of our Training Team. This position is ideal for individuals who have a strong interest in creating and delivering training materials, specifically in the culinary and customer service fields. As a Training Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, overseeing, and updating a variety of training materials to ensure that our team has the necessary knowledge and abilities to succeed. This position also involves facilitating a blend of in classroom lectures and hands on kitchen training.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, and review training content, including quizzes and activities
  • Create engaging and effective learning materials tailored to various levels of learners
  • Maintain and update training resources like wall charts, job aids, and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Participate in onboarding processes including scheduling, communication, and welcome calls
  • Administer the Learning Management System Tracker, setup, and manage certifications
  • Update and maintain content on our Learning Management System
  • Participate in hands-on facilitation in the kitchen, guiding new Team Members in practical skills as required
  • Support stores and Regional Operations Managers (ROMs) with training needs

Requirements:

  • High energy and has a passion for food
  • Strong communication skills, written and spoken
  • 1-3 years of experience in instructional material design and development, preferably in a corporate or culinary setting
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, and familiarity with LMS platforms
  • Basic knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Experience in developing online and facilitated courses for adult learners
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with team members and cross-functional partners
