As the Facilities Analyst, you will provide advice and guidance to internal and external partners as it relates to the facility portfolio. You will make decisions that are based on the need for alignment with industry standards, best practices, legal requirements, and risk mitigation. The position is critical to the strategic direction in terms of financial planning, long-term facility planning and capital development. Specific duties include:
- Lead the development, implementation, and documentation of the Division wide Asset Management Programs practices and procedures.
- Provide asset management consultation and advice regarding internal policies and procedures with the overall Mission and Vision of the Calgary Police Service (CPS), City of Calgary Corporate Asset Management (lifecycle management) and industry best practices.
- Work with Facility Management to review budgets for all buildings within CPS' portfolio, including operating and capital expenses.
- Analyze and provide long-term planning for current facilities and leased spaces, including future capacity projections.
- Review the Building Condition Assessment process, procedures, and completions for the Service.
- Prepare business plan documents, create presentations, and complete reporting updates including budgets for operating and capital requirements as requested by Finance.
- Create plans and implementation strategies to mitigate the maintenance gap for CPS's Facilities Management Section.
- Assist asset managing subject matter experts to complete risk assessments to prioritize and budget for upcoming lifecycle renewals.
- Project Lead for systems upgrades, renewals, and other contractual reviews.
Qualifications
- A degree in architecture, engineering, business, commerce, economics, accounting or related field and 5 years of relevant experience in facilities.
- Experience in a policing environment, municipal governance or public procurement is an asset.
- A Facility Management or Asset Management professional designation will be considered an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, and intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is required.

- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.

Compensation: Pay Grade 11 $ per hour
Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
