Role: Manager, Operational Effectiveness
Status: Full-Time, Regular
Department: Operations
Reports to: Vice President, HVAC Operations
Location: Markham
Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manager, Operational Effectiveness to lead initiatives that enhance operational performance, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the Field Operations department. This role will be instrumental in supporting cross-functional projects that impact customer experience, field operations, and internal compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, analyze, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across Field Operations.
- Working with stakeholders, utilize data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and identify KPIs to measure the impact of implemented process improvements.
- Facilitate the sharing of best practices and lessons learned across the organization to drive innovation and operational improvements.
- Support the adoption of 5S practices to enhance workplace organization and efficiency.
- Facilitate the implementation of a new KPI management system to support data-driven decision-making.
- Serve as a change agent for operational transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with operations teams to enhance customer-facing processes and service delivery.
- Provide operational support to improve service delivery and satisfaction.
- Support the alignment of operational practices by identifying opportunities to enhance process consistency, task execution, and overall improvement of key performance metrics.
- Oversee the P-card transition project, ensuring process alignment and compliance.
- Manage gas card compliance initiatives and reporting.
- Contribute to business continuity planning.
- Support the development and rollout of enhanced operational policies and procedures.
- Lead internal communications related to operational updates (e.g., "What's News").
- Provide project support across departments to ensure alignment and execution.
- Serve as a key liaison across departments including IT, Call Centre, Planning, Sales, and Field Operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in operations, compliance, or process improvement roles.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.
- Experience with 5S, KPI systems,
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across functions to influence change and compliance.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., P-card programs).
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and field service operations.
- Experience with change management and/or process improvement would be an asset
