Job Overview:

The Experienced Mechanic will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on light vehicles. You'll work with a team of skilled professionals in a clean and well-equipped shop. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a solid work ethic, and a customer-first attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, tire installations, rotations, and alignments
  • Diagnose and repair issues related to engines, brakes, suspensions, and other vehicle systems
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and suggest preventive maintenance
  • Use computerized diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair recommendations
  • Maintain accurate and detailed service records for all jobs
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Ensure compliance with all company and industry standards

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience as an automotive mechanic or technician and be a second or third class mechanic
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues
  • Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and industry-standard equipment
  • Experience with tire services, alignments, and wheel balancing
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Bilingual (French and English) preferred but not mandatory

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks in confined spaces
