Craneium Inc., a leading provider of overhead crane modernizations and service across Western Canada, is hiring a qualified Overhead Crane Technician with 10+ years of mechanical and electrical experience to join our Edmonton-based team. We're looking for a reliable, safety-conscious professional who takes pride in their work and thrives both independently and in a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning mechanical and electrical modernization
  • Lead modernization jobs including site safety meetings, planning and delegating work, scheduling subcontractors, and coordinating with site management and head office.
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Install new equipment
  • Provide breakdown service and commissioning support
  • Travel extensively throughout Western Canada to job sites

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Electrician or Millwright certification (required)
  • Minimum 10+ years of overhead crane experience
  • Skilled in both mechanical and electrical systems
  • Comfortable working at heights and in industrial environments
  • Class 5 driver's licence with clean driving record (required)
  • Fall Protection certification
  • Strong commitment to safety and customer service
  • Fluent in English
  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)
  • Willingness to travel for the majority of work throughout BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Typical rotation: 3 weeks on (10-hour days), 1 week off
  • Monday to Friday, with on-call and weekend availability as needed
  • Overtime pay available
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate travel demands

Education:

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)

Experience:

  • Electrical: 5 years (preferred)
  • Mechanical: 5 years (preferred)
  • Overhead Crane: 10 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Class 5 licence or higher and a clean driving record (required)
  • Fall Protection Certificate (required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (required)
