Craneium Inc., a leading provider of overhead crane modernizations and service across Western Canada, is hiring a qualified Overhead Crane Technician to join our Edmonton-based team. We're looking for a reliable, safety-conscious professional who takes pride in their work, thrives both independently and in a team, and meets Canadian standards for crane inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform annual inspections on overhead cranes, hoists, and rigging
  • Execute planned mechanical and electrical repairs (shop and field)
  • Install new equipment and support modernization projects
  • Provide breakdown service and commissioning support
  • Travel extensively throughout Western Canada to job sites

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Electrician or Millwright certification (required)
  • Minimum 10,000 hours of overhead crane experience
  • Skilled in both mechanical and electrical systems
  • Comfortable working at heights and in industrial environments
  • Class 5 driver's licence with clean driving record (required)
  • Fall Protection certification
  • Strong commitment to safety and customer service
  • Fluent in English
  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)
  • Willingness to travel for the majority of work throughout BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Typical rotation: 3 weeks on (10-hour days), 1 week off
  • Monday to Friday, with on-call and weekend availability as needed
  • Overtime pay available
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate travel demands

Pay: $55.00-$62.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 70 per week

Education:

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Class 5 licence or higher and a clean driving record (required)
  • Fall Protection Certificate (required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (required)
