The Position -

We are looking for a Journeyman Electrician to join our Crane Wiring Team in Nisku. WF Steel and Crane offers a competitive hourly rate, overtime, RRSP and benefits. This position is based in Nisku. This is an in-town job with a regular Monday to Friday workweek and plenty of regular overtime. The majority of the work is located inside.

The Ideal Candidate -

You will be involved in the manufacture, installation, modification and fault finding of electrical control systems on a variety of overhead cranes, hoists and other material handling equipment.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Proficiency in installing electrical systems and components
  • Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose issues with electrical systems
  • Practical knowledge of inverters and electrical controls
  • Experience with Variable Frequency Drives
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory codes, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Certification as a Journeyman Electrician
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experience in electrical manufacturing work is a plus
  • Flexibility in handling tasks and willingness to adapt to project needs
