Technology is one of the most important parts of our business. Whether it's signing up new artists; ensuring we provide the right data to Spotify, YouTube, and other digital service providers; or helping artists use the latest AI tools and make thoughtful decisions with data-driven insights – technology plays an invaluable role in our success. The engineering team at Warner Music Group makes all of it a reality.
WMG is home to a wide range of artists, musicians, and songwriters that fuel our success. That is why we are committed to creating a work environment that actively values, appreciates, and respects everyone. We encourage applications from people with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.
Consider a career at WMG and get the best of both worlds – an innovative global music company that retains the creative spirit of a nimble independent.
Your Role
WMG's User Experience Team is looking for a Content Designer to create thoughtful experiences for our artists, songwriters, and the teams that empower them. The music business is exciting and complicated; language and information design builds transparency and trust that help the people who use our products thrive.
Our content design team is small and influential; content designers are seen as equal partners to product design and often lead projects. Since we're small, you'll need to be able to prioritize and should have an interest in creating standards that help others. You will be responsible for creating compelling content experiences while collaborating with other designers, product managers, engineers and other cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities
- Work at a global scale, designing the most important products that power our business
- Partner with other designers to craft experiences
- Write clear and concise copy that simplifies experiences and keeps a clear and consistent voice
- Conduct user research and usability
- Iterate based on data-driven insights
- Design an inclusive experience by incorporating accessibility and localization guidelines
- Learn about the business of music as you collaborate with people across the music and tech industry
Requirements
- At least 2 years experience as a Content Designer, UX Writer, Content Strategist or similar role and a strong portfolio showcasing your work
- A healthy curiosity about ways AI can help you and our users—you can talk about ways you've used AI either personally or professionally
- Systems thinking—you search for patterns and ways to scale and optimize your work
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and user research and testing methodologies
- The ability to prioritize, plan, and own your work
- Success collaborating with cross-functional teams
- A knack for storytelling with a user-focus
- Great communication skills In addition to your content design skills, you are a relationship builder who is able to articulate content decisions and provide transparency into your goals and priorities
- Proven track record of bringing a consumer sensibility to the experience for elegant and efficient business products that solve complex, data intensive problems
- Proficiency in standard design tools such as Figma
When applying, kindly provide detailed instructions on how to access your portfolio, showcasing examples of your process and highlighting the impact your work has had.
