About MTLIFF:
The Montreal International Film Festival (MTLIFF) is a non-profit organization celebrating socially impactful films and connecting creators, audiences, and communities. We are looking for passionate, entrepreneurial individuals to help expand the festival's reach across Canada.
Role Overview:
As sales manager, you will:
- Lead the sales team, the weekly meetings and track progress.
- Lead client calls and support teammates in pitch calls.
- Prospect and secure new sponsorships, partnerships, and festival sales.
- Promote MTLIFF services, including events, memberships, media kit and festival passes.
- Build lasting relationships with sponsors and returning clients.
- Meet or exceed sales targets while keeping the team updated.
Requirements:
- Strong team leader, able to track team progress.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable leading client sales calls on your own.
- Available for brief weekly team meetings.
- Passionate about film, arts, and community engagement.
Commitment:
- Minimum 30-minute weekly team meeting for updates.
- Keep leads and tasks updated in our shared system (e.g., Jira).
- Flexible, self-directed work schedule.
- Compensation (Commission-Based Only):
Flat 25% commission on all deals, uncapped, the more you sell, the more you earn.
Standard Minimum deal size: $3,000
Example payouts:
- $3,000 deal → $750
- $20,000 deal → $5,000
- $60,000 deal → $15,000
- $100,000 deal
