Brown's Sales is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Service Manager to join our team at our shop locations in Cold Lake & Lloydminster.

The Service Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Service Department. Responsibility requirements will include managing the quality of work performed and ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction including professional communication with customers, documenting and managing service requests, ensuring seamless service experience, in addition to managing the profitability and operating efficiency of a fast-paced department.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of technicians and apprentices in the service shop.
  • Schedule and prioritize service work to meet customer deadlines.
  • Ensure all service problems listed by customers are addressed and maintain positive company/customer relationships, resolving any disputes.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed to industry standards.
  • Coordinate with the sales and rental departments to prepare equipment for delivery.
  • Maintain accurate service records and manage work orders including monitoring warranty costs and claim performance.
  • Monitor shop productivity, safety compliance, and inventory levels.
  • Communicate with customers regarding service timelines, estimates, and updates.
  • Support hiring, training, and performance management of service staff.
  • Maintains knowledge of Bobcats maintenance requirements, operations and warranties, campaigns, recalls, and technical service bulletins
  • Perform Service Shop support as needed.

Role Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in heavy equipment service, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of dealership management systems and Microsoft Office Suite of products and proficiency in computers (experience with PFW is an asset)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with service management software and inventory systems.
  • Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification is an asset.
  • Strong ethics and compliance with rules and regulations
  • Candidate must have a valid Class 5 drivers license and provide a drivers abstract.
  • Candidate must also pass a Drug & Alcohol Test and Physical Demand Analysis.
