Evolution Mechanical is looking for journeymen/women in our field service trucks. We have multiple shifts available currently as we are hiring for multiple work locations. Evolution Mechanical Ltd is a Canadian owned business. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman/woman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical defects in heavy-duty equipment such as automobiles, gasoline and diesel-powered trucks, winches, power take-offs, pneumatic or hydraulic pumps, booms, cables, blades, and buckets.
  • Overhaul and re-assemble electrical components such as alternators, distributors, starters, relays, and solenoids.
  • Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure maximum reliability and longevity.
  • Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment.
  • Collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and clients to provide updates on progress and address any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections performed on equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Journeyman certification in your trade from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in your trade, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid driver's license
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
