JM Heavy Equipment Technician

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Assist with Investigation, diagnosis and root cause analysis
• Mentor & train operators to properly inspect, service and maintain assigned units
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of service equipment
• Understand the mechanical, iron and electronics preventative maintenance process
• Understand all aspects of STEP equipment maintenance and support
• Attend and participate in all weekly safety meetings and safety drills
• Respond to emergency situations; on the job training with the crew members to ensure the security of the professionals, the equipment and the environment
• Have a thorough knowledge of all proper STEP safe work procedures and practices to manage each task in a safe and efficient manner that will ensure that the professionals, the public and the environment are not placed at risk due to our operations
• Adhere to the companies HSE policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

All other duties as assigned

WHAT WE REQUIRE:

Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (HET)

Physical ability: You will perform hard manual labor

Remote work: Away on a 15/6 rotation working outdoors in all weather conditions

Safety focus: We live and work by an always safe-always professional mindset (ASAP)

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent ability to think quickly and make the most effective decisions in high pressure situations
• Provide input on root cause fact finding, develop and execute a post failure strategy
• Ability to work as part of a team; strong sense of teamwork
• Strong interpersonal communication skills both written and oral
• Duties require being "On Call" 24-7 during a defined rotation
