Dawson Co-op invites applications for the position of Merchandising Supervisor to join our team at our Home and Agro Centre, located in Dawson Creek, British Columbia.

The Merchandising Supervisor ensures the retail floor is visually appealing, strategically merchandised, and operationally ready to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role leads the execution of all merchandising programs, including flyer setup, seasonal transitions, promotional events, planogram resets, department relines, and endcap strategies. Working in collaboration with FCL and Dawson Co-op directives, the Merchandising Supervisor ensures inventory turns are optimized, the heat map is managed, and merchandising standards are consistently upheld.

Reporting to the Home Centre Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Be dependable for all scheduled shifts.
  • Lead all flyer execution, seasonal changeovers, and promotional setups across the store.
  • Manage planogram resets, CASM directives, department relines, endcaps, bulk piling, and bunk end standards.
  • Supervise Home and Agro clerks and merchandise team to ensure timely and accurate completion of merchandising tasks.
  • Coordinate with File Maintenance and Inventory teams to ensure data integrity, tag accuracy, and promotional pricing.
  • Maintain and update the store's heat map and rotate high-demand products into priority locations.
  • Coordinate with inventory teams to maintain and verify correct in-store item locations
  • Oversee all display builds and ensure adherence to safety, visual, and product rotation standards.
  • Liaise with vendor representatives for merchandising support and execution.
  • Evaluate category performance and provide recommendations for layout changes to improve sales and inventory turns.
  • Ensure planograms are executed accurately and maintained throughout the year.
  • Support receiving and warehouse teams for weekly orders, during large transitions and seasonal inbound deliveries.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certifications preferred
  • 2–4 years of experience in retail merchandising or a related supervisory role.
  • Strong visual merchandising skills and understanding of store layout strategy.
  • Experience with CASM systems, planograms, resets, and vendor programs.
  • Ability to coordinate and lead seasonal transitions and promotional execution.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.Competency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and merchandising tools.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Aptitude for conflict resolution and problem-solving
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs when handling materials
  • Must be willing to complete a fit for work self-assessment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.15-$27.56 per hour
