Key Job Responsibilities

  • Come to work with a positive and professional approach and attitude
  • Be dependable for all scheduled shifts
  • Provide outstanding and courteous customer service at all times
  • Provide service, information and assistance to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet their requirements and expectations
  • Maintain the store in a clean and organized manner at all times
  • Stock and rotate product as assigned; ensure oldest dates are first out
  • Monitor and minimize spoilage
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of where items are placed in the store; to assist customers in finding products they are looking for
  • Packing of customer purchases at the checkout counter
  • Offer assistance with purchases
  • Adhere to start of day and end of shift procedures
  • Adhere to all Dawson Co-operative Union policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all Dawson Co-operative Union health and safety standards, per the Health and Safety manual
  • Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

  • Based at our Dawson Creek Food Store
  • Standard shifts are four to eight hours, up to five days per week; with flexible hours as required
  • Department hours are Sunday to Saturday from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm
  • Requires frequent interaction and follow through with Customers, Supervisors, Team Leaders and Team Members

Qualifications:

  • Willing to learn
  • Friendly and outgoing
  • Reliable and responsible
  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Ability to manage relationships at all levels

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to $17.92 per hour
