Vital Life is as dietary supplier manufacturer, Scarbough. As our company continues to grow, we are looking to hire one experienced and detail-oriented production manager/supervisor to join our collaborative and dynamic team.

Responsibilities

VL Manufacturing Engineering/production manager is process leaders for blending, encapsulation, tableting, bottling and labelling related topics, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. You are experts in operation of equipment or production line techniques, possessing extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes which may include the optimization and standardization within the manufacturing environment. This position enable the VL business unit plants to reach VL Operating Advantage (VLOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP's) and advise plants on production and machine duplications / corrections / improvements. This position can design and develop manufacturing process and automation platforms and apply them for the realization of new product developments as well as optimization of existing products already in production. The Teams also support Product Development in the selection and optimization of the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location. You act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.

Purpose

Lead and manage manufacturing engineering with the objective of ensuring on time and successful delivery of the projects and provision of effective support to new business within VL operation and engineering plan and budget.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Budgeting

Develop and implement section budget and plan, and monitor the achievement of the budget in order to achieve targeted department performance.

Policies and Procedures

Implement new global product development policies, procedures and systems; and maintain and develop local product development policies, procedures in order to meet VL's global requirements.

People Management and Development

Allocate and balance the allocation of work across direct reports; review and provide timely performance feedback to direct reports; mentor, develop and motivate them; help resolve people/functional issues in the team in order to achieve targeted performance and retain key talent.

Manufacturing Engineering

Develop advanced process technology; review automation project, review new sample making reports; and provide technical support to key project in order to effectively support production and business development.

GMP monitor

As the plant is base on the GMP standard. All processing have to following and ensured.

Asset Management

Manage fixed asset and find new opportunity to reuse idle asset on new project in order to reduce product cost.

Requirements

Bachelor degree with engineering and sciences;

4-6 years working experience including 3 years management experience.

Management skills, good coordination and communication skill, accountability, integrity, customer focus
