FTG is a global corporation offering design, development, prototypes and manufacturing solutions for aerospace and defense electronic products and subsystems.

We currently have an opening at our Aerospace Toronto Division for an Afternoon Shift Supervisor.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage resources in support of 100% on time delivery.
- Ensure quality goals are met.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and the collective bargaining agreement.
- Ensure all employees are trained and certified to the appropriate work instructions, safety, systems and administrative procedures.
- Provide input into the hiring and termination process as required.
- Identify any potential cost and cycle time reductions as well as quality improvement opportunities.
- Ensure the confidentiality of special manufacturing processes, customer information, personnel data, etc.
- Verify inventory required is available.
- Set a positive safety tone by demonstrating proactive safety habits including participating in the monthly inspections as required.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- 2 - 3 years’ supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Experience with optimizing manufacturing processes would be an asset.
- General understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Prior knowledge and ability to use a MRP/ERP system.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Must be organized and proficient in task management.
- Excellent computer skills.
