Job Overview

Blake Medical Group Inc., is a proud Canadian family owned manufacturer of medical seating, mattresses and a unique gel that is the fundamental part of our product line, based in Hamilton, Ontario. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely reconciliation of accounts. This role requires proficiency in our accounting software, QuickBooks, along with strong data entry and customer service skills. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will play a vital role in supporting our financial operations and maintaining positive relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process customer payments using our accounting software QuickBooks
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of receivables data
  • Monitor overdue accounts and follow up with clients for payment collection
  • Maintain detailed records of transactions and update account information accurately
  • Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure proper account analysis and resolution of discrepancies
  • Conduct regular analysis of accounts receivable aging reports to identify issues or trends
  • Communicate effectively with customers via phone and email to resolve billing inquiries and negotiate payment arrangements
  • Assist in bookkeeping tasks related to accounts receivable and other financial transactions
  • Support month-end closing processes by providing accurate data entry and reporting

Requirements

  • Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, bookkeeping, and general accounting principles
  • Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation and account analysis tasks
  • Proficiency in data entry with high attention to detail
  • Effective negotiation skills for resolving billing disputes or overdue payments
  • Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
  • Strong math skills to handle calculations accurately during account analysis and reconciliation
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
  • Prior experience in financial services or related fields is required

We are currently operating at 42 Niagara St, Hamilton, ON, where production will continue until our relocation.

Blake Medical Group (BMG) will be moving to 60 Prince Charles, Brantford, in January or February 2026 (exact date to be determined).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
