Server/Barista

Job description

Duties:

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot beverages, such as coffee, espresso and tea
• Take customer orders and process payments using cash handling skills
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
• Prepare and package food items, such as sandwiches, pastries, and salads
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including cleaning equipment and surfaces
• Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and monitoring product levels

Experience:

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and different coffee varieties is a plus
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
