Position Overview:

The Cook/Catering Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality food, ensuring consistency, flavor, and presentation meet company standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items for catering orders according to recipes, portion, and presentation standards.
  • Assist in planning and organizing food production to meet event timelines and client expectations.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the kitchen and work areas.
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and temperature control at all times.
  • Work closely with the catering team to ensure smooth service and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving supplies.
  • Support setup, delivery, and service at off-site events as required.
  • Adhere to all food safety and health regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen or catering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and event days as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
