Stadek Clinic in Eagle Ridge Fort McMurray is currently seeking a Medical Office Assistant to join our very busy medical office. THIS POSITION IS A REGULAR PART-TIME, Monday - Friday with 20 hours per week, or more if needed. The successful candidate for this position is responsible for helping patients feel welcome and comfortable, and must be able to multi-task effectively. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, professional and has experience working in a medical office. DRIVING SKILL REQUIRED.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • KNOWLEDGE IN MEDACCESS EMR SOFTWARE REQUIRED
  • EXPERIENCE IN MEDICAL CLINIC REQUIRED
  • Must be computer savvy
  • Diploma/Certificate in Medical Assisting/Terminology preferred
  • Schedule appointments for patients and physicians.
  • Answer telephones.
  • Take vital signs of patients.
  • Sterilize medical equipment.
  • Fax documents to other facilities.
  • Maintain medical records of patients.
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and medication
  • Greet patients and update files.
  • Prepare exam rooms.
  • Assist doctors in minor procedures
  • Clean the entire clinic
  • Keep the confidentiality of patients' files
  • Carry out a range of other duties that keep the medical office operating smoothly.
